Vertical House2024
---
Architecture
Residential The concept of an individual house occupying minimal plot area. Thanks to this, the house can be located on plots with complex terrain, in urban areas with dense development, and in other constrained conditions. The building consists of two residential cubes, separated from each other and connected by a vertical structure in the form of a staircase and elevator unit. The roof of each cube is used as a terrace. The staircase and elevator unit is topped by a technical section, which houses solar panels and a rainwater collection tank. The ground-level space can be used as a parking area for personal vehicles.

Balashikha Apartment

Interior Design
Residential Interior design of a small apartment with an area of 44 square meters, located in Balashikha, Moscow Region. Initially, the apartment was an empty space enclosed by external concrete walls and a designated bathroom area. We divided the space into six zones: an entrance hall, bathroom, kitchen, living area, bedroom, and workspace. The entrance hall is separated by a storage system, while the bedroom and workspace are divided by a glass partition. The external walls were preserved in their original state: concrete polished and treated with a special colorless matte varnish. All internal partitions were custom-made from eco-friendly birch plywood coated with varnish. The flooring is birch parquet.

Unbelievable Challenge

Architecture
Logistics center The project was completed in 2014 for the “Unbelievable Challenge” competition organized by the façade system manufacturer Ruukki. The theme of the competition was to design a logistics center for Santa Claus. While developing the concept, we decided to analyze the geometric shapes of Christmas and New Year symbols and concluded that many of them — such as a Christmas tree, Santa’s hat, and a snowman — can be simplified to the shape of a cone. In the architectural design of our project, we also based the structure on the shape of a cone and logically distributed all the main functions of the logistics center from bottom to top: at the bottom, in the widest part, are the storage areas; in the middle — the entertainment and guest area; and at the very top of the cone — the administrative zone, culminating in Santa’s office at the peak, along with a platform for his sleigh located in the same area.
